Dr. Bailey Joy Irvine Dr. Bailey Irvine provides neuropsychological, psychological,
psychoeducational, and forensic assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of specialty include Neurodevelopmental Disorders (e.g., Intellectual Developmental Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Learning Disorders), traumatic brain injury, pre-natal drug/alcohol exposure, emotional disorders, internalizing concerns, anxiety, behavioral difficulties, trauma, substance use, complex medical disorders, and neurological disorders. Dr. Irvine has been associated with Positive Outcomes Psychological Services since 2008. She obtained her fellowship there after completing more than two thousand hours of neurological and psychological assessments under the supervision of Harvey Gayer, Ph.D. and Eli Solomon, Psy.D. Dr. Irvine is contracted with the Department of Child and Family Services (DFCS) and works with the University of Georgia. She also has experience in conducting research with the concussion and epilepsy population.
Dr. Irvine grew up in Hopkinton, Massachusetts (Home to the Start of the Boston Marathon) and is an accomplished equestrian. She enjoys working with athletes and is happy to call Athens, Georgia home. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University in psychology and community health. She earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology from the New School of Social Research with a specialization in substance abuse. Dr. Irvine went on to earn her Psy.D. in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington, D.C. She completed her internship at Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehabilitation in Waterford, WI. Dr. Irvine was awarded her license to practice psychology in Georgia in 2019 and is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association. Dr. Irvine most recently became a certified ADHD professional (ADHD-CCSP) in 2021.
Dr. Irvine is a wife and a mother. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, scuba diving, horseback riding, swimming, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.
